Hedgehog Decor

Materials That You Will Need:

Brown modelling clay
Hot glue + Glue gun
Small screws

Quick Tips:

Go to IKEA in their "AS IS" section.  There should be a box of spare screws.  Next to the box you can find some small plastic bags with a 1$ sticker on it.  If you fill that bag with screws, you only have to pay 1 dollar!!

1.  With the brown modelling clay, sculpt a shape like the one to the left.

2.  Cover the body section of your hedge hog in hot glue.  This will make it stronger.

3.  Hot glue on rows of small screws on top of the previously hot glued coat until it covers the  top section of the previously put on hot glue.

4.  Glue on 4 small screws onto the bottom to create the legs.

Eraser Stamps

Materials That You Will Need:

Erasers
X-Acto knife
Pencil
Black paint or ink
Paper

Quick Tips:

Make sure that the background (the part that doesn't need to have ink on it) is far away from the stamp itself.  Or else the stamped image does not turn out very good.

1.  With a pencil, draw the image that you would like the stamp to be on the eraser.

2.  Trace your image with the X-Acto knife, making sure that it goes quite deep.  Then, complete a horizontal cut to take of the excess eraser.

Crafty Cork Board

Materials That You Will Need:

1 square piece of cork board  or  2 rectangular pieces of cork board
Dark brown spray paint (I used Krylon's Equestrian Indoor/Outdoor Gloss Spray Paint)
Beige spray paint (I used Krylon's Khaki Indoor/Outdoor Gloss Spray Paint)
Scissors
Green acrylic paint ( I used DecoArt Leaf Green)
White acrylic paint (I used DecoArt Light Antique White)
Orange acrylic paint ( I used DecoArt Pure Pumpkin)
Neon pink acrylic paint (I used Color-Factory Neon Pink)
Red acrylic paint (I used DecoArt Deep Red)
Yellow acrylic paint (I used DecoArt Daffodil Yellow)

Quick Tips:

Go to the Dollar Store!  That's where I got most of the materials for this craft!

If you have one square of cork board, cut it into two halves. Place them next to each other in a clean area outside, or on some newspaper indoors.  Spray paint the top halves beige.  Now, With the dark brown spray paint, create a gradient starting at the bottom.  Start by applying a thick layer until the half way point, then start to gradually move farther and farther away, so that the paint applies thinner.

With green acrylic paint, paint blades of grass along the bottom.  Feel free to add your own style to the grass' shape and length.

Decide where you want your sun to be.  Paint the outline in yellow acrylic paint.

With some orange acrylic paint, create another gradient, but this time, on the sun.  Make the colour more vibrant on one side, and gradually get lighter, until you reach the other side, where it should stay yellow.

With the red, neon pink, yellow, white, and orange acrylic paints, create a design to create the sunset-like rays of the sun.

Re-paint the blades of grass that you have covered while painting the sun.  Then, add some white to the grass.  To do this, I simply put some white paint on the tip of my brush, and, starting at the bottom, went over the blade of grass.  Now you're done!
